I Sat With Myself This Morning

Everything in its own time

I know I’m not the only one who struggles to stay consistent with a weekday schedule.

My day usually starts at 6 a.m.: meditation, workout, breakfast, shower, getting dressed, and reviewing the to-do list I set the night before.

Check. Check. Check.

By the end of the day, the goal is mission accomplished.

From the outside, it may look like I’m killin’ it. Inside, I’m still working through time. I’ll leave that there.

After my workout, I hopped in the shower and reached for my Fragonard soap. The $30 bar. I took my sweet time before shampooing my hair, then decided to do a roller set.

I parted my hair neatly, section by section. Combed it through. Added setting lotion to the ends. Applied the end papers. Rolled it up.

Sitting under the dryer, I felt good not trying to beat the clock. I let the day be easy. Just me.

In that space, my mind went back to where I used to be. Different headspace. Different choices. Some I had to learn from. I did the work. I grew. Still growing.

This season feels intentional. The lessons feel earned.

The man I share my life with feels right.

It took time to get here. Then it clicked.

Eight years.

No big announcement. Just gratitude for a love I get to live.

Happy anniversary to us. ❤️❤️
